Zach Adams’ arrested stemmed from the seizure of stolen pearls from the Tennessee Shell Company in Camden, Tennessee. Police were questioning Toni Craig and Christopher Bray (brother of Amber Bray, the woman Adams is accused of assaulting), when Zach Adams came forward to give police more stolen pearls.
Zachary Adams of Darden, Tennessee, came under the suspicion of police officers early on in the investigation for Holly’s disappearance, along with his brother Dylan Adams, as well as cousins Shayne Austin and Jason Autry. And, it turns out, Holly’s mother knew these boys – she’d taught Zach and Jason back in grade school.
Since February 28, however, detectives have been searching the area around Zach Adams’ home in Holladay, Tennessee. The home, on Adam’s Lane, is about 15 miles from where Holly Bobo was last seen, reports WATE. According to Fox 17, Adams inherited the house on Adams Lane in Holladay from his father when he passed away.
Adams was arrested by police in Camden, Tennessee on February 28, charged with assaulting his friend, Amber Bray, reports News Channel 5. According to the station, Adams pointed a gun at her and threatened to “gut” her.

Autry said he asked how Adams knew Holly. He said Adams told him Natalie Bobo, a cousin, worked at a strip club and had sex with Adams. Adams told him she gave Adams the idea that Holly "would have a threesome" with Adams.

DARDEN, TN — It been almost seven years, but Holly Bobo was finally laid to rest Friday afternoon. According to WOPC HD News, she was laid to rest on a hill in southern Decatur County, just before dusk, on a private burial in a family cemetery.
Donnie Jones Jr.Kelly Sharpton was the mother of Megan Sharpton, whose burned body was found July 2, 2012, at Awalt Road in Franklin County. In February, Donnie Jones Jr. pleaded guilty to raping and murdering Megan, a 24-year-old Tullahoma nursing student and was sentenced to life in state prison without parole.
Adams was convicted in September 2017 and sentenced to life without parole plus 50 years after a jury found him guilty of eight counts, including first-degree murder, aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping.
Autry, who had been incarcerated since 2011, was released from jail back in September after pleading guilty to solicitation to commit murder and facilitation to especially aggravated kidnapping in the Holly Bobo murder case.
Later on, he was also charged with rape.

Therefore, on September 23, 2017, Zach Adams was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder charge and two consecutive terms of 25 years for both the kidnapping and rape convictions.
Zach Adams went to trial in September of 2017. Throughout it all, he and his defense team maintained that he was “100% innocent” and that all the prosecution had was circumstantial evidence – nothing could positively tie Zach to what happened to Holly.
With this, and other testimonies from various witnesses stating that Zach implicated himself in Holly’s disappearance on several occasions led the jury to find him guilty of all the charges against him on September 22.
And, it turns out, Holly’s mother knew these boys – she’d taught Zach and Jason back in grade school. Growing up, Zach and his brother fell into the wrong crowd, and they got involved with drugs, heavily. It was to such an extent that even their mother and every court record has referred to them as addicts.
Following that, Zach has appealed his case to the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. So, at the age of 36, Zach Adams is currently still behind bars.

A woman who knew Zach Adams growing up, Danielle Darnell, told The Jackson Sun, “Drugs have been a big factor in his life. It’s changed him. He’s no longer the Zach that I grew up with.”
The FBI announced at a press conference surrounding the indictments brought against Zach Adams, that the investigation was not over. Adams’ girlfriend, Trisha Evans, released a statement to Fox 17:
His brother, Dylan, is also being questioned about the Holly Bobo case. Dylan Adams has been in federal prison since July 2013. According to Cindy Adams, Dylan Adams has learning disabilities, she told Fox 17, “I asked him, ‘Did you get interrogated?’ He said, ‘Yeah Mom I did. They kept me up all night asking me all these questions about Zachary and Holly.”
