Buying the least expensive window or door for your home is never the best thing to do. They are usually cheap for a reason. In my opinion, it is well worth the extra cost to receive the increased value you receive for an energy efficient PVC or aluminum/clad window unit versus a vinyl replacement window.Jan 24, 2011

The company itself is excellent in terms of benefits, comp, job security and promotions. You just have to know what you are getting into first. It is public accounting and the busy seasons can be unbearable at times. The off-seasons are slow. Highs and lows.
Great place to work, but like all public accounting firms, work-life balance can be tough, but still much better than B4.

It is a very stressful environment. There is no training, and they expect you to know everything, if you ask they wont help you since they all are too busy to answer your questions. Therefore, be prepare to be alone in this journey. No room for improvement, if your senior or manager doesn't like you then you are done.
Belligerent management. Extreme hours. Toxic/fearful work culture. In my time at Anderson the work/life balance was extremely disproportionate. Upper management favoritism. Would not recommend.

Andersen gave me the opportunities to develop the beginning of my career, but it has felt as though the steam has started to go out a bit in terms of their drive to continue my development. I believe that returning after a couple years of experience at another company would be the best way to prove my worth to certain levels of management.
Renewal by Andersen works a little differently than most window manufacturers. Andersen owns the RBA name, but they are run as privately owned franchises for each region. This means the consumer is not actually buying from Andersen, but from a franchised distributor.
