John Hurt is menacing and excellent as you would expect. Elizabeth Perkins does an excellent job as the partner of the newly qualified lawyer Judd Nelson, who will do whatever it takes to make a name for himself in the firm he works for. This is a comedy with a thriller underlying the l laughs. I enjoyed it - I hope you do too

Early life. Nelson was born in Portland, Maine, the son of Merle ( née Royte), a court mediator and former member of the Maine House of Representatives, and Leonard Nelson, a corporate lawyer. His family is Jewish, and his father was the first Jewish president of the Portland Symphony Orchestra.
In 1991, he had a starring role in the Mario Van Peebles -directed New Jack City , an urban gangster film with Wesley Snipes, Ice-T, Vanessa A. Williams, and Chris Rock; the film was a commercial success.
The same year, Nelson co-wrote and starred in the short film The Spin Room: Super Tuesday. Nelson reprised his role as Rodimus in Transformers: Animated and voiced Ben 10,000, Eon, and Atomic-X in Ben 10: Omniverse .

Nelson’s next two roles were the ones that briefly promoted him to the Hollywood A-list, they being the aforementioned The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire , both of which were released in 1985. In St Elmo’s Fire, Nelson plays Alec, an aspiring young graduate who’s keen to start working in politics.
Nelson later went to Haverford College in Pennsylvania, but he ultimately quit to pursue acting in New York, and began studying with world-famous acting teacher Stella Adler.
Once such actor is Judd Nelson, who became famous for playing John Bender in The Breakfast Club and Alec Newbury in St. Elmo’s Fire, and who was in the 80s a member of the Brat Pack (a group of actors that also included Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore, Andrew McCarthy and Ally Sheedy).
