The Register of Deeds office is responsible for recording instruments that are properly notarized. Most of the instruments are pertaining to real estate in Lee County. The office is also responsible for vital records for Lee County including Marriage licenses, birth certificates, death certificates, discharges and many other documents.
Effective January 1, 2017 the Lee County Register of Deeds office will designate an early cutoff recording time of 4:30 pm daily for all documents.
