The most surprising thing about the synopsis is the mention of Harry Bosch. Before The Lincoln Lawyer, Michael Connelly’s most successful series was about a detective named Harry Bosch. Mickey Haller was introduced in the Bosch books as the half-brother of Bosch.
The Lincoln Lawyer (film) The film is directed by Brad Furman, with a screenplay written by John Romano, and stars Matthew McConaughey as the titular lawyer, Mickey Haller. The film co-stars Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, and Josh Lucas, and features William H. Macy and Bryan Cranston in supporting roles.
In the world of streaming, Bosch and The Lincoln Lawyer are not related. The departure from the books appears to actually have less to do with narrative choice and much more to do with a rights issue. Because Amazon holds the rights to Bosch and Netflix to The Lincoln Lawyer, there won't be a crossover.
