A few days after the primary election, Tenorio asked that the AG’s office expedite and conclude their investigation, confident he hadn’t committed a crime.

The trial

On March 6, Tenorio appeared personally in court for his case for the first time since being charged in September. After the brief hearing, Tenorio said he was ready to stand trial and wanted to clear his name.

The verdict

After taking a break at the close of business on Thursday, jurors returned Friday morning and at 9 a.m. they notified the court that they’d reached a unanimous decision.

He said it's the other gubernatorial team's choice to use the gun grabbing incident in the campaign against him.

Voters critical: 'What he did was wrong'

Jasmine S. Superales, 21, said she believes that Tenorio's decision to grab a police officer's gun while appearing to be drunk is "wrong."

Professor: 'Election far from over'

Ron McNinch, a University of Guam political science professor and longtime political observer, doesn't think Tenorio's gun-grabbing is going to be the "silver bullet some people think it will be." He also doesn't believe that this will affect how people vote, party-wise.

Calvo supportive

Joaquin Salas, whose house was among those that Tenorio visited Tuesday, said he's known Tenorio for about 20 years, from when he worked with Denanche security agency and will vote for him more so because of the July incident.
