Trump has a lot of lawyers because you need them in business in the US, which has about twice as many lawyers per capita as any other country. Most of these lawyers deal with issues on Trump’s properties. Trump also has a personal legal team to deal with accusations by the DNC and their lackeys. He pays for this himself.

A 2014 law began allowing national parties to raise large amounts of money in a separate account for presidential conventions, building renovations, and legal fees. The law has proven beneficial to Trump as the costs of impeachment pile up.
