Who is Sharry Sandler?

SHARRY SANDLER (LSBA No. 29669) is a member of all Louisiana State and Federal Courts. Ms. Sandler moved to New Orleans in 1996 to go to Tulane University, where she received her BA in Psychology and English. Thereafter, she received her Juris Doctorate at Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, where she went to law school at night while working as both a legal secretary and paralegal. This experience taught her to look at both sides of the desk when meeting with clients, and to try to be more hands on with her work. After law school, Ms. Sandler sought an MBA at the University of New Orleans, while recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and living in a FEMA trailer with her new husband. Eventually rebuilding as so many of US did, she started The Law Office of Sharry I. Sandler in 2009, right before the birth of her first child. As an entrepreneur, Sharry has always worked to emphasize the importance of family and work life balance, and she remains active in her community, offering volunteer assistance for individuals with special needs, underrepresented people and religious minorities. She also is an active member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, NAML, and the Louisiana and New Orleans Bar Associations. Now the mother of three children, ten years after opening her own practice, she has joined forces with Marc Michaud to form SANDLER MICHAUD, L.L.C., New Orleans Consumer Lawyers, and she looks forward to continuing her work with a larger part of the Greater New Orleans and Louisiana communities.
