Nehemiah. Nehemiah had an audacious advocacy ask: He wanted to leave his job as cupbearer to the king and rebuild the city of his people, who were living in exile.
An advocate—one who pleads the cause of another—can be a powerful voice for change. There are examples of advocates, led and empowered by God, all throughout the Bible.
Advocacy means getting support from another person to help you express your views and wishes, and help you stand up for your rights. Someone who helps you in this way is called your advocate.
There has been debate among scholars about the description of Zenas as a "lawyer", as the Greek word used can refer to an expert in either Jewish or Roman law. It is possible that Paul only mentions his profession in order to avoid confusion with another "Zenas".

Writing in the New Bible Dictionary, Morris states that "Propitiation is a reminder that God is implacably opposed to everything that is evil, that his opposition may properly be described as 'wrath', and that this wrath is put away only by the atoning work of Christ."
The word advocate describes the work of the Holy Spirit because it is how the Holy Spirit acts through us. We are advocates of the Holy Spirit. It's work is brought out through us. It is how the Holy Spirit is brought into the world to others.
