“I’m Like a Lawyer with the Way I’m Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You)” is the fourth track off of Fall Out Boy’s 2007 album, Infinity on High.
If I woke up next to you, if I woke up next to you. [Verse 2] Collect the bad habits that you couldn't bear to keep. Out of the woods but I love.
"The best way to make it through with hearts and wrists intact is to realize two out of three ain't bad." Two wrists, one heart. He's had his heart broken, but he isn't killing himself over it.
Fall out boy made the lyrics so you would think one thing that sounds totally right and so obvious, but it really means something else. when you first see it, you think a guy falling in love, honeymoon, etc.. "We're the new face of failure, prettier and younger but not better off.
Pete said in an interview that this song is about "falling out of love with someone and in love with someone else", so while a part of the song is about him "burning his bridges" and getting over Jeanae, you also have him wanting to start something new (with Ashlee). Also definitely about apologizing for past lyrics. -hanna.
