The two laws that seem to give Harry the most difficulty are the Statute of Secrecy and the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery (1875). In the Chamber of Secrets and Order of the Phoenix, Harry finds himself in situations where magic occurs in the presence of a muggle (and while he is under age).
The Wizengamot Charter of Rights grants the accused the right to call witnesses and be represented by another person, although the books do not mention any lawyers. Fortunately for Harry, Dumbledore represented him and argued his case well enough that Harry escaped severe punishment.
There was legislation about what could be conjured and what could not. The use of Veritaserum was closely controlled by Ministry guidelines. One must have a licence to Apparate from the Department of Magical Transportation.
Magical law was a system that regulated and ensured that individuals or the wizarding community in general adhered to the will of the state. Once a witch or wizard entered the magical community, they must abide by the pre-existing laws that were already in place.
After seeing Voldemort's return in the Ministry, Fudge was forced to accept it all, as well as reinstate Albus' reputation. Following this, Fudge resigned as Minister in complete disgrace because he refused to take the steps Dumbledore offered him.
During the final moments of the battle, Yaxley was defeated by Lee Jordan and George Weasley. His ultimate fate is unknown, though if he survived, he was most likely captured and sent to Azkaban along with the rest of the surviving Death Eaters.
In 1998, Dolohov fought in the Battle of Hogwarts, during which he killed Remus Lupin. At the climax of the battle, he engaged Filius Flitwick in a duel, and was killed.
Voldemort, wanting the location of Harry Potter, captured and brutally tortured Scrimgeour, though when Scrimgeour refused to talk, Voldemort murdered him.
Under Master Regulus Black The potion, (the same one Dumbledore drank) caused Kreacher to have nightmarish delusions, intense stomach pains and made him dehydrated. Voldemort then left, leaving Kreacher to drink from the lake (as any water conjured evaporated) and die at the hands of the Inferi.
No, she is not a death eater, but many of her views fall within those of Voldemort's plans. For instance: Magic is Might - Voldemort and the Death Eaters want to establish wizard power and authority over muggles.
Filius FlitwickWhen the battle later resumed, Dolohov was defeated by Filius Flitwick, a former duelling champion. His fate following the battle is unknown, though it is possible that he was killed by Flitwick.
It is most likely that he had betrayed many other Death Eaters, as Sirius Black stated that Karkaroff had "put a load of other people into Azkaban in his place". After Voldemort's rebirth, Karkaroff didn't return to Voldemort. He was eventually caught and killed by Death Eaters in 1996.
VoldemortMundungus was paired along with Moody during the Battle of the Seven Potters. When Voldemort attacked them, Mundungus was frightened and disappeared, abandoning Moody, who was killed by Voldemort. Some of the members of the order were killed during the First Wizarding War.
Luna Lovegood once mentioned to Harry Potter that Scrimgeour was a vampire, a story her father was supposed to publish in the magazine The Quibbler.
Fred was killed in an explosion possibly caused by Augustus Rookwood. One of the last things Fred heard before dying was Percy joking about resigning from the Ministry. Percy wouldn't leave Fred's side until Harry and Ron helped him move the body to somewhere safer, coincidentally behind a suit of armor.

The first thing we were left to wonder after Voldemort was killed was how much society would really need folks who had jobs like Auror. Then we thought about the real world, and we realized that despite big fishes in crime being killed or arrested every day, there are still evil people out there and we always need cops. That’s what Aurors are—cops.
Arguably one of the most hated characters in the entire series, we are glad to be able to tell you that Dolores Umbridge met a fitting end after the occurrences in the Deathly Hallows book and movies. This sadistic tiny witch probably thought she could still get away with all of the crimes and tortures she performed during the Harry Potter series. But with Voldemort gone and the Ministry of Magic cracking down on everything wrong that happened during the past seven years, she was probably one of the first witches to find herself wearing the magical equivalent of handcuffs.
After the end of The Deathly Hallows, Ron did what everyone thought he would and eventually married Hermione. He also followed Harry into the path of becoming an Auror at the Ministry of Magic. That career, however, did not last long as many can imagine that this was not really Ron’s field of expertise. No, this guy decided to take the high road and help his brother, George, out with the family shop. He supposedly filled the spot that was left after Fred was killed and helped George turn Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes into a juggernaut of a company.
It is not like we expected Draco Malfoy to become a good guy after the events of The Death ly Hallows. After all, how hard would it be to turn someone who was as spoiled, annoying, cowardly, and borderline evil into a good character after just a few years? No, it seems like he got a little bit better from what we could de duce from the epilogue , but Draco Malfoy is still far from being a good character.

In the Chamber of Secrets and Order of the Phoenix, Harry finds himself in situations where magic occurs in the presence of a muggle (and while he is under age).
Later, Harry appears before a formal hearing in front of the Wizengamot (Wizarding Court, more on that in a moment) for protecting his Muggle cousin from attack by dark creatures known as Dementors.
The high court of Wizarding Britain is known as the Wizengamot. A panel of wizards and witches (collectively known as the Wizengamot or sometimes the Council of Magical Law) preside during trials (and at least one hearing) in one of the courtrooms on Level 10 of the Ministry of Magic. Harry witnessed three trials through memories ...
1.” The only reason Harry isn’t wanted “Dead or Alive” is because Voldemort wants the privilege of killing Harry himself. Hermione and Ron are not as lucky and can be taken either way.
The Improper Use of Magic Office issues a written warning to underaged wizards who conduct magic on their first offense. A second offense results in the expulsion of the wizard from school, the destruction of his wand, and the wizard is no longer allowed to use magic. This punishment seems to apply to other infractions of underaged crime as well, as Rubeus Hagrid was expelled from Hogwarts in his third year, and his wand destroyed, prohibiting him from using magic for the rest of his life.
The most important law in the magical world is the International Statute of Secrecy, which was passed by the International Confederation of Wizards in 1692. This statute directs that the Wizarding World be kept secret from the non-magical community (Muggles) and most other laws in the Wizarding World stem from this statute.
In Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter finds himself Undesirable No. 1, a fugitive of the law, as the government of the Wizarding World has been taken over by the evil Lord Voldemort. This is not the first time that Harry has found himself at odds with Wizarding Law. In honor of the movie, I am going to look at the laws and legal system of Harry’s world.
Courts in Harry Potter seem to operate using a jury system. The Wizengamot is summoned to hear a trial and pass judgement on individuals.

After Voldemort’s defeat, Harry joined the Ministry of Magic, where he became an Auror (dark wizard catcher). Despite having no formal qualifications (Harry never sat his N.E.W.T. exams), he was ultimately promoted to Head Auror. Harry, Ron and Hermione also featured on Chocolate Frog Cards.
Hermione Granger returned to Hogwarts after the events of book seven and sat her N.E.W.T. exams. Hermione too worked for the Ministry of Magic, in both the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She became Minister for Magic herself after the retirement of Kingsley Shacklebolt.
The future of the characters in the Harry Potter books didn’t end with the epilogue, set nineteen years after book seven. In the years since the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, J.K. Rowling has revealed a number of tidbits of information about the Wizarding World. 1.
In the epilogue, we learned that Ron Weasley married Hermione Granger. Together they had two children: Rose and Hugo Granger-Weasley. Ron too became an Auror for the Ministry of Magic, but left some years later to help his brother, George Weasley, with the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes joke shop.
Harry, Hermione and Ron during the Deathly Hallows epilogue. We learned in the epilogue that Harry married Ginny Weasley, Ron’s younger sister. Together they had two sons: James Sirius and Albus Severus, and a daughter, Lily Luna. After Voldemort’s defeat, Harry joined the Ministry of Magic, where he became an Auror ...
Hermione also translated The Tales of Beedle the Bard into English as the original was written in runes.
Harry and Draco remained civil (as evidenced in the epilogue), but never became proper friends.
Harry stopped Voldemort in the Battle of Hogwarts and in the book reseals the elder wand back in Dumbledore's tomb - as opposed to the film where he snaps it in two and throws it off a bridge. We left seeing him married to Ginny and waving off his son, Albus Severus Potter, as he prepared for his first year at Hogwarts.
At the end of the Deathly Hallows we're told that Harry and Ginny, as well as Hermione and Ron grew up and had kids. Both the film and the book conclude with us seeing their children go off to Hogwarts as the steam rises on Platform nine and three quarters, all echoing back to Harry's first time entering the wizarding world all those years ago.
