The subject of contracts deals with the legalities and formalities for forming a legally binding agreement between two or more parties. Common topics in a contracts class consist of the elements of a contract, the statute of fFrauds, parole evidence, the mail box rule and other provisions set forth in the Uniform Commercial Code.
The subject of torts encompasses noncriminal damages that one party inflicts upon another. Constitutional law encompasses the specific rights in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights as well as the large body of Supreme Court decisions. Some of the more popular constitutional law topics include civil rights, abortion, commerce, states' rights and the specific roles and power limitations of the three branches of the federal government.
Some heavy duty studying is required to become a lawyer. Attorney hopefuls generally must have bachelors' degrees before they can crack open the doors of law school. Law students are tied up full-time in law school for three years after undergraduate studies. Some lawyers go on to earn advanced law degrees, which gobble up another one to five years in study time.

Generally speaking, the GCSEs that you will be required to have minimum grades in for Sixth Form are Maths, English and Science. Obviously, there are some exceptions to this, and in more specific subjects (such as Modern Foreign Languages), individual Sixth Forms will state what grades are required.

However, despite the fact that there are some subjects that set you up better for studying law, most Universities don’t have specific requirements for A-Level subjects taken. Clearly, this varies between Universities, so it is worth looking at the requirements.
Many students participate in trial advocacy and client counselling competitions, volunteer at legal clinics or non-profit organizations, and participate in student-led clubs and social events at the law school. This is a great way to meet people with similar interests and find out how you can apply your legal training outside of academics.
