Avery, 59, is serving life in prison for killing Theresa Halbach, 25, on his family's property on Halloween 2005. Halbach had gone to the Avery family salvage yard to photograph a vehicle that Avery planned to sell. His nephew, Brendan Dassey, was also convicted in the case.
According to Newsweek magazine, a Wisconsin inmate has reportedly confessed to the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach in Manitowoc. Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey were both convicted and are serving life sentences for the crime. The confession is featured in a new 10-part documentary series called "Convicting a Murderer."

They believe the documentary is exploiting her murder for entertainment and they definitely don't think Avery is innocent. Some of Halbach's extended family told People that they believe Avery is guilty of murdering Halbach, and the show is making things worse for their family.
