Jimmy's law license is suspended for a year, but he is not disbarred. To both pay his share of the rent on the office and make use of TV ad time for which he has already prepaid, Jimmy begins producing commercials for other businesses while using the on air alias Saul Goodman.
To quickly recap, Jimmy/Saul has had his license suspended due to criminal charges he faced for breaking into his older (now deceased) more successful brother Chuck's home to destroy audio recordings of Jimmy confessing to manufacturing evidence.

“It's all good, man.” With those four words, the transformation of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) into Saul Goodman was finally complete. Jubilant over getting his law license back, Jimmy celebrated by asking the clerk for a name change form.
Picking up lawful employment at CC Mobile, he does everything he's supposed to do to work himself back in the graces of the committee. However, last week's episode ended with the shocking twist that Jimmy was denied reinstatement - after he was found to be insincere in his comments.
Main story Jimmy decides to quit D&M, but learns that if he quits, he will have to repay the signing bonus he received when he joined. Jimmy finds a loophole in his contract which permits him to keep the money if he is fired without cause.
$1.16 millionJimmy discovers from Irene, his former elder law client who represents the class in the Sandpiper Crossing lawsuit, that the company has offered a settlement which if accepted will result in Jimmy's share being $1.16 million.
But It's still an essential part of the narrative. The Sandpiper case resurfaces in the season 5 finale when Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) proposes a Saul Goodman-style scheme to settle. Holed up in a luxury hotel hiding out from the cartel, Kim and Jimmy play a game of increasingly evil hypotheticals.
Jimmy found himself about to receive $1.16 million from a settlement agreement in a class-action lawsuit he initiated on behalf of a group of senior citizens against the Sandpiper retirement-home chain. In order to win that settlement, he'd meddled with the social order amid a group of old women.
Eventually, however, after Walt's criminal secrets were discovered by his brother-in-law, DEA agent Hank Schrader, and discovering Walt's poisoning of Brock leading to a wrathful Jesse to attack him, Saul was forced to abandon his life as a criminal lawyer with the help of Ed, his disappear man.
