A free consultation with a lawyer (who even wrote a free letter for me because it was no work) is how I got Warner Brothers, actual WB, to back off of me making a parody film when they sent me a cease and desist. It's always worth chatting with a lawyer just to get your bearings.
From my limited experience of approaching lawyers, doctors and so forth, a free consultation almost always leads to them offering me an expensive followup. Most clearly seen when comparing dentists. The free consult I had recently led to a recommendation for an SRP (deep cleaning) at $1000, a tooth extraction at $500, and bone grafting $500.
There is another post out there with my situation, but this one is supposed to be a collection of questions YOU would ask your lawyer on the first consultation. Things you, retrospectively, would have liked to know up front about the process and things you would be interested to know if you would see a divorce lawyer, if you haven't yet.
1. Only lawyers may post answers in comments. 2. Do not solicit legal advice. 3. Do not give legal advice. 4. Be civil. 5.
I know, I know. We have all heard this question before. Get a PhD. or a J.D.
Hi everyone. I was a Summer Associate at a Big Law firm in a satellite office. I got a full-time offer for that office, but I am hoping to start in a different, even smaller satellite office. How do I go about this?
