Increase in Court Fees. Please note that court fees in the Family Court, as well as Courts generally, increased from the 30th September 2021. The fee on filing a petition for divorce rose from £550 to £593 and a Children application from £215 to £232 although the Court does now offer the oportunity to pay by credit or debit card..

Legal Aid is no longer available for the majority of family issues that come before the Court except where there has been Domestic Violence but it is not going to be easy to meet the test that has been put in place.
