He resigns in disgrace, gets re-elected, rides the wave of public opinion all the way to the Illinois Governor's mansion, and then ends the series the same way he started by resigning in disgrace all over again. Not surprising from a man who can't keep it in his pants.

Alicia and Cary take the lead in representing Lemond Bishop at his preliminary hearing in Federal Court. Alicia is surprised to find that she's up against her nemesis from law school, U.S. Assistant Attorney Liz Lawrence. They don't expect to win at this stage but they should get a good idea of the Justice Department's case.
