A mobster throws acid in his face during a trial, scarring half his face. Driven insane by his reflection, he renames himself Two-Face and goes on a crime spree, deciding with a flip of his lucky coin whether to break the law or perform acts of charity.
Dent was nicknamed "Apollo" by the media due to the fact that he was charming, good-looking, and seemingly untouchable. He was dedicated to his job of upholding law and order, and became one of the first supporters, allies, and even friends of Batman.

Ok, when the Joker threw Rachel out the window at Bruce's party, Batman jumped out the window to save her. In doing this, the Joker figured that Harvey Dent had to be Batman due to them dating. But he later figured out he wasn't, in fact, Harvey.
