Speaking of Lucious, he spent most of his time in jail looking hunky/playing basketball — until Frank Gathers (Chris Rock) showed up. In case you need a reminder, Frank is the drug dealer Cookie snitched on, and it only took about five seconds before he convinced Cookie's cousin to sell her out.Sep 23, 2015
Lucious threatens Jamal to withdraw his financial support if he comes out publicly, so they cancel. In the end, Hakeem chooses Jamal to perform together with. FBI Agent Carter wants Cookie to testify in court about what she had witnessed, as an extension to their deal, but Cookie fears for her life.
You know the new love of Andre's life, Detective Pamela Rose? Turns out she isn't real! Her entire being was a figment of his imagination, presumably caused by the medication his doctor has been serving him. After the secret is aired out about Kingsley being Lucious' son, Cookie pushes Lucious on plans to take him down. The Lyons are gained back into Empire and are set to prove Lucious and Becky's innocence.
Blake's father shoots Hakeem in the chest before his son struggles to grab the shotgun off of him, which leads to Blake getting shot in the leg. Blake then turns the gun on his father and kills him before joining Tiana at Hakeem's aid.Sep 26, 2018
This week opens with Lucious sick — very sick — in bed with an unknown disease, with Thirsty urging a doctor to undertake some sort of illegal procedure. It’s not ALS again (as Hakeem is told later in the episode, “That’s not how ALS works”), but we don’t quite know what it is.

The best description of Empire ’s two-part finale goes to Lucious, who, in describing his own concert, announces that it has to be “epic… like a supernova.” The two-hour spectacular was sublime in the old-fashioned sense of the term, a superhuman phenomenon that’s best appreciated at a distance, like hurricanes, supernovas, and Cookie Lyon.
