How many hours a week does the Saugatuck concession stand work?

The City of Saugatuck has a seasonal position available at the Oval Beach Concession Stand. General responsibilities include but not limited to preparing basic concession stand food, ability to observe safe food handling regulations, monetary transaction and provide assistance to beach patrons at Oval Beach Park. The qualified candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays from Memorial Day to Labor Day (99 days) with maximum of 40 hours per week. Starting wage of $10.50 per hour, benefits are not applicable.

Duties

Using a combination of in-house staff and contractual relationships with outside providers, the Department of Public Works Superintendent coordinates and participates in a full range of construction, maintenance and repair activities associated with municipal infrastructure, including streets, curbs, sidewalks, traffic control and related signage, parking lots, parks, buildings, grounds, beach, boat launch ramp, recreational sites, forestry program, leaf pick-up program, water and sewer systems, special events and seasonal activities, and motor/equipment pool and related functional areas..

Guidelines

Materials must be neatly stacked near the roadway in the curb or shoulder area away from objects or obstructions such as power poles, wires, sign posts, valve boxes, etc. Stack all limbs in the same direction to allow city equipment to facilitate removal. Leaves must be un-bagged and separated from tree limbs and brush.

Report a Street Light Out

The City of Saugatuck does not own or maintain the streetlights. If you notice streetlights that are either burned out or malfunctioning please report the condition to Consumers Energy. Their crews will make any needed repairs.
