2. Thomas Johnson Worked on Labor & Election Issues, Once Representing President Barack Obama

Johnson was a lawyer with Johnson, Jones, Snelling, Gilbert & Davis, P.C., a law firm in Chicago. According to that law firm’s bio for him, he was a 1975 graduate of Harvard Law School, a 1972 graduate of American University, and a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Thomas R. McMillen, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, in the 1970s.

5. Leslie Jones Graduated From Harvard & Specialized in Federal Litigation, Real Estate & Corporate Issues

Leslie Jones’ biography says she graduated from Harvard Law School, the University of Chicago (with an MBA) and Yale University. She served as a Harvard Law School (J.D. 1982) law clerk to U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit for Judge Luther M. Swygert in the 1980s.

Opinion: Every once in awhile you run into a guy like Chuck Stegall, an attorney who does what he does not just to pad his bank account but to make life just a little bit better for the little guy

When I heard that Chuck Stegall died last week, my first thought was of a bride and a groom and a wedding I attended more than a decade ago.

R.B.'s lockup was court approved

Stegall learned of the plight of R.B. Sleeth and Marge Foley, as did I, from his old friend, former Gov. Rose Mofford. He had handled Mofford’s legal affairs for more than 30 years, so it was natural that she turned to him when she learned her old friend, R.B., had been locked away in an Alzheimer’s ward.

Eventually, love (and Stegall) won

And so he did go home, thanks to Stegall and Asimou, who rode to the rescue and fought to free R.B. from his court-sanctioned “protectors”.
